Knowledge and skills pertaining to Halal is gaining an imperative role in the current industry at an unprecedented rate. Albeit the publics’ lack of awareness on role Halal within the industry, Halal goes hand in hand by principle and practice in the industry. Nowadays, more and more organizations opt for a scientific verification of the Halal status of a material, product, and even service while opting for an accreditation or certification in Quality Management as a mark of quality and productivity.

Halal Science and Management Program (HSMP) is a professional proficiency program aimed to produce skilled and semi-skilled workforce that can meet the current global needs of halal industry. HSMP is a holistic program that embed all the skills and knowledge required to become a competent halal industry player. The module encompasses scope such as Shariah, management and science that are important in analysing and mitigating halal risk throughout the halal supply chain.

Halal Science and Management Program from Halquest Sdn Bhd consists of 4 sub-programmes: Halal Practitioner Program (Food, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic), Halal Science Analyst Program, Islamic Hygiene Practice Program (Laboratory, Kitchen, Manufacturing Food and Pharma, Premise, Truck and Shipping Container) and Professional Halal Auditor/Trainer Program.

MIHA-accredited Courses for International Halal Training

Halquest through Global Haltech is pleased to share 4 programs that have been devised for 5 to 12 days and may be suited to fill up the competency gap of the halal talent in Halal industry. Our training program emphasizes on the approach of knowledge sharing by industry subject matter experts through a real case study assignment throughout the courses. The proposed course is as follows:

  1. i) Halal Technical Management Workshop- Halal Practitioner

  2. ii) Halal Technical Management Workshop- Train of Trainer

  3. iii) Halal Technical Management Workshop Halal Auditor

  4. iv) Islamic Good Hygiene Certification (Sertu Operator)

Each module shall be conducted through lectures, hands-on practical workshop in a laboratory, case study discussion, and assessment. This program is designed as a structure that addresses the essential skill sets required in Halal management system stemming from the operator, executive, to the top management level.

Global Halal Outlook and the Fundamentals of Malaysia Halal industry

  1. Overview of the Global Halal market
  2. Islamic Law and Halal Industry: The industry’s application

  3. Overview of comparative religion and the Halal industry’s perspective

  4. Halal Certification: Malaysia and Global Perspective

Delivery Mode: Lecture

Module 2:

Halal Technical Component and Ingredient Risk.

  1. i) Concept of Halal Food: The Source of Halal Food (discussion focus on MS1500 clause 2.3 and clause 3.5)

  2. ii) Risk Assessment of Halal Ingredient: Critical, High Risk, Low Risk

  3. iii) Halal Risk Data Sheet of an ingredient

Delivery Mode: Lecture/Workshop

Completion

Upon completion of the program, as accredited by MIHA- JAKIM, the participants shall be awarded:
