- 3 CHALLENGE TRACKS TO CHOOSE FROM -

REGISTER FOR ONLY ONE TRACK

TRACK 1: Maritime Cyber: Hack the Ship

Premiering at this summer’s DEFCON 27, this unique maritime capture-the-flag experience is your chance to hack GIS, radar, and programmable logic controllers, including the opportunity to hack a newly developed cyber defense for industrial control systems. Will you be able to hack the ship?

  • EDUCATIONAL: Just getting started with hacking? No problem. Team up for a guided challenge on cyber-physical systems. By the end of this challenge, you’ll be able to scan networks, decode data packets, detect system vulnerabilities and more!
  • COMPETITIVE: Experienced hackers, game on! Spoof signals, gain unauthorized access, override the autopilot…do your worst. The team that can disrupt the most wins.

TRACK 2: Data Science: Cleared for Takeoff

Aircraft like the F-18 fighter are some of the Navy’s most important assets, but also some of the most complex. That makes aircraft maintenance one of the Navy’s most vexing and expensive problems. In this track, you will help the Navy learn whether data science and machine learning can predict maintenance problems before they happen and keep aircraft, like the F-18, in the air.

TRACK 3: Digital Manufacturing: Rendering Aid

If a ship is in distress, it’s the Navy’s job to help. What if the Navy could use 3D printers to quickly produce the parts needed to repair a ship? You will work with remote designers and engineers to prototype parts that can be built at sea—and save lives.
