HACK::SOHO - October Edition
IOActive welcomes you to HACK::SOHO, a monthly event at our central London office. Join your fellow hackers, tech heads, enthusiasts, and visionaries for drinks, food, a live DJ and engaging security talks from leading professionals on the latest cybersecurity topics.
This month's IOActive HACK::SOHO talk, "15 years of broken encrypted emails - and we're still doing it wrong," by Alfredo Pironti, shows how OpenPGP encryption of emails is fundamentally broken. Alfredo will show how an attacker can get hold of sensitive email content by tampering with email data that the user would expect to be protected. We apply this attack against PGP-enabled email addresses used to report vulnerabilities to software vendors and we get more than 50% of the reports. Learn more from Alfredo, ask questions, network and enjoy some drinks and fun.
