HacknTalk March 2013
Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (GMT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join us at Google’s Campus workspace in the heart of East London’s Tech City for a day long technology unconference and workshop. This exciting venue is home to a number of high tech companies and surrounded by the startup rich environment of London’s Silicon Roundabout.
Hackntalk will be a day full of enjoyable talks, demonstrations and hacking on fun projects with enthusiastic people gathering together to share their experiences.
What is it about?
The HacknTalk event is the first in a series of unconference style events - it has no keynotes, there are no sales pitches and no frills. You are invited to present on a topic you are passionate about, something you are working on or just some cool stuff you have been playing with and want to show off. As well as talks there will also be opportunities for collaborative work and play on technologies such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, software development or work on open source projects.
Since HacknTalk is an unconference, the speaking/demo schedule will be set on the day and everyone is free to propose a talk themselves. You are of course free to come along, sit back and listen to other people's talks but we’d like to encourage everyone to take part and talk on something they are passionate about in technology.
We have the venue for the day, exactly what happens is up to you!
Why should you come?
To meet more people and interact, and put faces to names and maybe get some inspiration for your own projects, or find exciting things you would want to contribute to. By participating in events like this, communities grow and everyone can learn from one another.
There will be different levels of talk and activities at this event and
we encourage lots of Q&A so everyone gets as much information
from it as they can.
I can’t make this date...
If you miss this event, there will be another one in 4 months time. The idea to have regular events so you don’t have to wait a year... Keep up to date with us on twitter - @hackntalk
