HackMPI is a 48 hour hackathon for the Event & Meetings Industry. This Pre-MPITechCon event will culminate with demos & awards at MPI TechCon on February 19th 2013.
MPI TechCon is a tech conference for the Meeting and Events Industry. HackMPI will be held the weekend before this tech conference in an attempt to create technical solutions to problems faced in this industry. Attendees of MPI TechCon consist of hotel chains, software companies and marketing agencies who are looking for industry related software/app solutions. They purchase these solutions to use, resell or integrate into their own products.
At HackMPI, you will be able to see live demos of examples like Swift Expo and Shortlist to help you get a better understanding of how technology can help these industry professionals. MPI TechCon attendees are also suggesting ideas on what they would like to see created! Check out their ideas here: http://mpitechcon.com/hackmpi-suggestion/ ...or come up with your own ideas!
During the hackathon event you will have opportunities to meet with the judges and mentors to go over your prototypes and ideas and get their professional advice and feedback.
