Event description
Connecticut's makerspaces are joining forces to launch HackCT, a 2-day hackathon event designed to solve problems faced by modern cities!

About this Event

It is with great excitement that Danbury Hackerspace, Fairfield County Makers Guild, NESIT Makerspace, MakeHaven, MakerspaceCT and Spark Makerspace announce HackCT, a two-day hackathon event taking place March 28th-29th, 2020 at MakerspaceCT in Hartford, CT.

Applications are open to the maker, hacker, and hardware/software development community at large.

The theme for HackCT is “smart, safe, and accessible cities”. Participants will brainstorm about the problems faced by modern city residents, commuters, and workers and will then break into groups to develop solutions to some of the problems. The theme was specifically chosen to promote the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, while still providing enough flexibility to ensure that participants can work on software of web applications if they prefer.
