Description
HACKERS — we need to bring more tech into the way we share knowledge today. With so many awesome educational and academic research applications and rich data APIs for us to play with, there’s no telling what ideas could emerge from a little collaboration and data access, mixed with creativity and bright minds...
Dive into the top education and academic APIs and build apps, tools and mashups that can change how we create, gather, understand, and disseminate knowledge. How can we interact with academic content in a more open and dynamic way? How can we support collaboration for discovering new knowledge? How can we meaningfully mashup social media with data to help people learn? Hackers, developers, coders, data crunchers, UX designers, scholars, scientists, instructional technologists - sign up for yourself or jump in with collaborator(s) as a team.
We will provide you with APIs, which you're not required to use, and access to a lot of data (e.g. Mendeley has built the world's largest crowdsourced research database) and round-the-clock nourishment from H&H Bagels, Grimaldi's Pizzeria and RUB BBQ; you bring your laptop, hacking skills, creativity and heart for making a real difference in how people discover and share new knowledge.
Need we say more?
Education, at all levels, is looking for the next big thing... so put your name on it!
