Please join USGBC for breakfast during an interactive, educational presentation focusing on sharing knowledge of how to protect open spaces onsite, as well as how to achieve offsite habitat protection through SSc5.1 (SSc5 in EB). The goal of this breakfast is to raise awareness about our newest pilot credit SSpc83: Alternative Compliance Path (ACP) for Site Development- Protect or Restore Habitat.
The connect and learn session focuses on helping project teams achieve habitat protection onsite and offsite. PC83 awards a LEED credit for financially supporting offsite habitat. The pilot ACP is ideal for Volume teams, large corporate accounts, projects in urban areas, projects on the border of a higher LEED rating (1 point from Platinum etc), teams that have pursued “Green Power” credit, projects with extensive land onsite, and anyone who has expressed interest habitat or land protection.
Sam Glass, the USGBC LEED Habitat and Land Conservation Fellow, will present and lead the discussion. Scot Horst, Senior Vice President of LEED, as well as Brendan Owens, Vice President of Technical Development, will make comments and be available for Q&A.
NOTE: This session is open to anyone attending Greenbuild, including exhibitors.
Please RSVP by Friday, November 15, 2013. Space is limited, but please feel free to extend the invitation to your friends, colleagues, or anyone who might be interested. For questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
