Please join the GWU Humanitarian Mapping Society, and the Missing Maps Project for the last event of our 2016 monthly mapathon series, helping to map areas where humanitarian organisations are trying to meet the needs of vulnerable populations.
This month we will feature a task for the Pan American Developent Foundation (PADF), one of the newest members of the Missing Maps team. PADF are mapping in the Mixco community in Guatemala City, working with community members, local universities and governement for disaster prepardness measures.
For our December meeting we are going to do this in style, and Ugly Sweater are strongly encouraged!
We know it's exam week on campus, but we suggest you take a little break from studying, join us for pizza and comradery, and ugly sweaters!
Mapping beings at 7pm, and training for newcomers will also be offered at this time.
Give yourself a little extra time to check in at the front desk of the library, and please make sure to bring your laptop to the event!
Food/drinks will be available mid-way through the event.
