When & Where
The GVU Center/Digital Media
GVU is an interdisciplinary research center that brings together people and expertise from all six Georgia Tech colleges in order to solve complex problems.
Our goal is to make the world a better place through fundamental and applied interdisciplinary computing research. We want to help people and communities to be connected to one another, to communicate, to learn, to heal, to be entertained, to create, to express their ideas and visions, and to be given the tools and opportunity to expand their potential and improve their lives.
We’ve created a unique environment where some of the most progressive work in academic research is being done. Our program has gained international prominence and has become a hot spot for faculty and students committed to developing people-focused, creative, socially relevant technologies.
The Digital Media graduate program at Georgia Tech provides students with a foundational, theoretical background in digital media and the opportunity to practice what is learned in the classroom through active participation in labs and research. The resources, facilities, and industry connections established and maintained by the program make our students some of the most sought-after graduates in the field today.
