Guilford County EOC Basic Operations

This course provides an overview to how the Guilford County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is managed when activated in times of natural/man-made disasters, emergency incidents and/or significant planned events. The overview includes a thorough understanding of what knowledge, skills and abilities must be developed and maintained to serve as a EOC staff member providing coordination and support to agencies, departments, non-governmental organizations and stakeholders that are providing services to the communities of Guilford County during these times of disaster. Discussions will include a review of the EOC management process, emergency support functions (ESFs), Guilford County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and staff expectations.
All personnel who have an assignment in the Guilford County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) .
It is recommended that the student complete IS-100: Introdcution to Incident Command System and IS-700: National Incident Management Systems (NIMS), An Introduction before attending this course. Below are links to both online courses.
