Event description

Description

Helping students catch a vision of their future is critical to the work we do with young people in the present. Connecting students to college and career pathways requires constant and consistent social, emotional, and academic support throughout a student's school career. This workshop offers college and career readiness activities and lessons to inject into youth development spaces of many types. In addition, participants will learn about summer melt and receive resources to implement immediately. As Umoja believes that every adult who comes into contact with young people is a post-secondary coach, this workshop is designed for all adults who interact with young people. This workshop is a great way to gear up for next year with an infusion of post-secondary resources!

Please join us for coffee and networking at 8am, and then engage in an interactive and meaningful session with colleagues from across the region! Registration will remain open until Wednesday, May 24th. Space is limited, so please register soon! If you have questions, please email Stephanie at sbaeza@umojacorporation.org.

*If you are a teacher or other staff member at an Umoja Partner School, please select the Core Partner Ticket.

**IL educators can receive 3 CPDUs for this session.
