Guided Tour Of Kaluanui
Event Information
Description
We welcome you to discover Kaluanui on this walking tour featuring more than seventy specimens of plants and trees!
About an hour in duration, this beautiful tour of the Kaluanui Estate celebrates Maui’s unique landscape and history.
Along the way, you will see two of Maui’s largest Norfolk Island Pines, many endemic and indigenous plants, the remains of one of Maui’s earliest sugar mills (one of the only mills which extracted sugar by centrifugal force rather than prolonged boiling), and a nearly 100-year-old historical home.
Once a Baldwin family plantation home, now a non-profit visual arts centre holding classes, exhibitions and events, you will also have the opportunity to see glassblowing demos, explore our studios and shop a beautiful selection of Maui made gifts.
Visit Kaluanui today to experience a living piece of Maui’s history.
