Do you need some soul nourishment? Join us as we retreat to a beautiful cottage on the shores of Bear Lake near Manistee, Michigan during one of our most beautiful seasons. We will nourish your body with local, organically sourced foods; your soul with a beautiful (not difficult) hike into Acadia Bluffs, overlooking Lake Michigan, as well as optional yoga sessions; and your mind with therapist/life coach lead sessions and some personal time for you to reflect on how you can live your life more wholeheartedly. As women, we often pour out and rarely fill up. This is an opportunity for you to invest in YOU because you are WORTH IT, and because when you are well, everyone benefits.
This retreat is an opportunity for you to step away from the busyness of life, to create space and devote time and energy for new life to thrive in the desolate places of your soul. Everyone is welcome here. We are a team that is trained and dedicated to nourishing your body, soul and mind. We cannot wait to meet you.
During our time together, we will offer practical solutions on how to live wholeheartedly. Certified life coaches and therapists will lead sessions on how to start the healing process, how to find balance in life, how to identify areas for growth, and most importantly, will be there to assist you while you spend some solitary time really focusing on your own role in the life that you want to live. You will likely come with an idea of what needs attention in your life (if not that is ok too!). We will help guide you to be a good steward with this time away, so that when you come back you are equipped to start the healing process in your life, or in some cases to just be more present in your daily life and interactions.
Here is a sample schedule:
Friday evening ~ warm hearty welcome, soul warming drinks, light appetizers, homemade desserts, group introduction, session on the importance of solitude, how to settle in while processing you, and how to let go and grow. Yoga session will be offered and is optional. The evening will conclude at a reasonable time so that everyone can start their solitary time, and get some solid uninterrupted rest.
Saturday ~ yoga, delicious breakfast, session on balance in life that will offer tangible areas of insight for you on where you desire change in your life, solitary time, hearty lunch, afternoon hike to Arcadia National Park (accessible for people of all activity levels), solitary time overlooking Lake Michigan, , dinner all together around a large table signifying the importance of community in our lives, group process, praise and prayer, and another early end so that you can conclude the day in a way that you need, and get that uninterrupted REST.
Sunday ~ yoga, warm breakfast, group session on wholehearted living, solitary time, individual meetings with life coach, spiritual director, and/or therapist, lunch can be eaten at the cottage or taken on the go. Participants may leave when ready anytime after our group session through 2pm, but we encourage a solid solitary end to your retreat.

As a team, we see the benefit of solitary time, but we also recognize the importance of community and connection. These retreats embody both of those elements. You will have time to yourself, but we will also be building connection among women. This also gives you a chance to practice authenticity. Pain and hardship can empower us and become the most fertile ground in the soil of our lives. To get there, we must be willing to acknowledge the struggle. Authenticity is the manifestation of that humility. Isolation breeds insecurity and depression. Authentic relationships protect against that, and empower us all to live more grace-filled, wholehearted lives.
