The “Wanderlusters, ” a Baltimore based hiking club, founded in 1913, was wildly popular among women. Starting in the end of the 19th century, women started getting active outdoors. Although outdoors activities were initially for courting, walking and hiking activities soon became part of the suffrage movement, as local women would go on walks to talk to other women in the area about voting rights. These outdoor activities paved the way for women to join the Wanderlusters.

Come hear about the Wanderluster's group and their adventures!
