About this Event
Take a 45 minute, 6/10 of a mile guided hike to the the park's namesake Starved Rock, a 125 foot sandstone butte that stands above the Illinois River. Discover the rich history of the park, sandstone geology, and flora and fauna as you are guided to the top by the State Park Interpreter Lisa Sons.
All hikers that register for this hike will check in with the Park Interpreter at the front doors of the Starved Rock Visitor Center (not the lodge) no later than 8:25 a.m. The hike will leave promptly at 8:30 a.m. Masks are required please.
