Description

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CAMPUS APP

Last fall, Guidebook held its first higher-education-focused full day conference. Featuring sessions by our expert guide builders and esteemed student affairs professionals, the event provided attendees with a variety of different ideas for how to expand and diversify the usage of their campus apps. Now, in 2018, we're looking to continue providing educational opportunities for our clients to ensure everyone drives the most value out of their campus app.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone in higher education!

This event was designed based on the needs of HEd professionals at all levels of the student lifecycle who are actively involved in (or would be involved in) the development and implementation of your campus mobile app.

WHY ATTEND?

Learn - Hear from our mobile implementation specialists on best practices for better utilizing the features in your app and how to better understand and act on your mobile data.

Impact - Leverage these best practices to pull relevant data and metrics from your app and make informed recommendations that radically improve your programs.

Network - Join the speakers and your peers in discussion and a hands-on exercise that will allow you to learn from others’ success and share your own winning recipes.

SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

Session 1 — Maximizing App Engagement

Building a great Guide is only the beginning; the real ‘utility’ of your Guide and app stems from your ability to engage students! In this 45-minute session, we will discuss the best marketing and promotion tactics to get your app into students’ hands. We’ll also examine creative adoption strategies, innovative features, and engagement approaches that’ll encourage students to use your app throughout the school year.

Session 2 — Measuring Outcomes: Turning Metrics into Improvements and Results

Mobile solutions empower schools better than ever to measure their own departmental efficiency, student engagement, and much more. However, data analysis can sometimes present a daunting challenge (or, an impossibility) to many departments on campus. This short session will demystify metrics and outline how Guidebook’s world-class metrics suite can inform your school’s mobile app strategy. We’ll investigate promotion strategies, engagement tactics, and on-site adjustments, all through the lens of data analysis.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for the event?

The Guidebook SF office is conveniently located less than a mile walk from both Caltrain and the Montgomery Station BART. We highly recommend taking public transportation if possible, as there are a limited number of metered parking spots directly near the building.

What should I bring with me to the masterclass?

Please bring a laptop computer so you can see mobile strategies in action and reference your own institution's mobile data during discussions. Other than that, all you'll need is an interest in learning more about getting the most out of your campus app.

If you’ve never used Guidebook before, don’t worry! A laptop is still recommended :)

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
