Acting and Directing
Courtney Ch'ng Lancaster introduces you to a playful foundation of techniques focusing on theatre making, suitable for all levels of experience. Participants will partake in acting activities to foster creativity and connection, and then take turns in the director's chair using neutral scenes.

This workshop is open to 2SLGBTQ+ identified artists and individuals of any age.

About Courtney:
Courtney Ch'ng Lancaster is an actor and director from Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Her most recent directing credits include The Wolves (Howland/Crows), Cannibal (Scrap Paper/Next Stage), 52 Pick-Up (Howland) and Gray (Inamorata). Her acting credits include seven seasons with Soulpepper Theatre, mostly recently in Idomeneus and Innocence Lost. Other credits include roles with Public Recordings, Canadian Stage, Citadel Theatre, Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre, Cahoots Theatre and Tarragon Theatre. She currently facilitating the Director's Lab with the Paprika Festival and is a mentor with the AMY project. She is a grateful alumna of the Loran Award and a recipient of two Dora Awards for Best Ensemble. Courtney can next be seen performing in the Shaw Festival's 2019 season.
