As the island’s most recognized swimming event, the Guam Cocos Crossing is supported and promoted by the Guam Visitors Bureau as a key sports tourism event featuring the stunning beauty of our southern shores and our warm Hafa Adai spirit. In addition to an exciting competition, the event also features a fiesta and local entertainment supported by the mayor and villagers of Merizo.
3 Swim Options, with New Course Lengths: 5k & 10k!
This year we have updated our course lengths to 5k and 10k to assist swimmers training for international and olympic-distance ocean swims. Swimmers have the choice of three popular options: the 5k (previously 2.5 mi.) swim, which is from Cocos Island to the Merizo public pier; the 10k (previously 5 mi.) swim, which goes from the Merizo public pier across to Cocos Island and then back to the Merizo public pier; and the Neptune swim, which allows swimmers to use swim snorkels and fins for the 5k swim.
