Come join us in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Georgetown University Aikikai with Dan Messisco Sensei. Mesissco Sensei has been practicing martial arts for over 50 years. He has been a student of Saotome Shihan since 1974 and has earned the rank of Rokudan in Aikido. He has also earned the rank of Chodan in Tang Soo Do, and has trained in various other arts. Messisco Sensei is known for his emphasis on the quality of grace in movement and all aspects of our selves.

All sessions of GU Aikikai's 20th Anniversary Seminar will be held in Bulldog Alley, a room located next to the food court in the Leavey Student Center. There will be four sessions in total:

  • Friday, October 20 6-8pm

  • Saturday, October 21 10am-12pm

  • Saturday, October 21 2-5pm

  • Sunday, October 22 10am-12pm

This seminar is open to anyone, including those with no prior martial arts experience.
