The Undergraduate Access and Attainment Agenda: Helping Students Make Good Choices
Please join the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) and American Institutes for Research (AIR) for the third and final symposium in a series on what the national attainment agenda means for individuals. The conversation about increasing the number of postsecondary degree and certificate holders almost always centers on U.S. competitiveness and productivity at home and abroad. Only rarely are the needs and dilemmas of individual students made the priority.
- What are the implications of approaches that encourage students to pursue majors that lead to higher paying jobs?
- What do we know about differential tuition policies and their impact on students?
Ron Ehrenberg, GSEHD Visiting Senior Fellow, will lead the discussion. An internationally recognized expert in higher education finance and policy, Ehrenberg is the Director of the Cornell Higher Education Research Institute.

Sandy Baum, Senior Fellow at GSEHD
