Demonstration of GSA Usability Lab
An opportunity for designers to see the Usability Lab in action, hosted by Dr Steve Love. The Lab is available to designers to book in order to test web and app solutions for clients.
The Design Evaluation Tool allows you to track and record a user’s interaction with the interface of any type of tablet or mobile device, and see exactly the user’s eye movements, what parts of the screen and text they are drawn to, how they navigate the site and how long they may spend finding information. The Lab can allow you to set-up your product and application testing on-site so you can observe, record and analyse user testing.
The usability lab also provides space to facilitate co-design workshops or focus groups for 10-12 people and has video recording facilities to record the discussions. It is equipped with an Interactive Table and 2 Interactive Screens (wall mounted) to help designers co-create.
Working collaboratively with your clients on R&D projects could not be easier as you can hold co-design workshops for your clients with your product developers and prospective and current users to design and develop products, applications, digital interfaces and websites.
If you want to put your design through its paces at any stage of the design journey you can book the Lab to undertake user testing and evaluation or to check its accessibility or compliance. The GSA Usability Lab can help you by assisting with recruitment of participants and devising a bespoke user experience testing plan. At the end of your session the Lab will provide you with user experience feedback reports combining technical data and expert analysis on how to improve the design of applications.
If you are interested in seeing it in action and what the Lab can offer you please book a place to come along!
