Midwest Pantry is proud to present the 'Growing Your Business' Discussion Series.
This 6-part series of discussion panels are aimed at helping you the entrepreneur learn directly from the people you'll meet on your company's path to reaching your goals. You'll glean insights about how buyer's assess a new product, what a distributor needs to help you increase your sales, how to prepare for working with a co-packer, and more.
Each discussion will be moderated and will feature a panel of 4-5 experts, and since each discussion will be recorded, we ask that questions be submitted ahead of the event.

Part 1 : How to Get on Shelf and Grow Sales: A Panel of Local Retail Buyers (February)
The Growing Your Business Series kicks off with power panel of representatives from the local buyer community. You'll hear from panelists representing Lakewinds Co-op, Market Distributing, Seward Co-op, Wedge Co-op and Whole Foods! It's going to be a great discussion and all entrepreneurs are welcome to attend and learn. The discussion is especially suited for entrepreneurs looking to get into stores, increase sales at the stores they're in, and/or are considering local distribution.
Learn directly from the local retail buyers...
when & how are new products considered?
- what makes a product presentation most effective and memorable?
- what kind of support is required of products: demos, promotions, etc.?
- what criteria is used to keep or pull a product from the shelf?
- how can a producer increase their sales?
- when should a producer get into distribution?
The panel will be moderated by special guest and veteran food retailer Dina Hemminger and Midwest Pantry co-founder Zoie Glass.
