Being a teenager can be difficult; being a teenage girl can seem impossible! This middle school-aged girls group provides a safe, trusting environment for girls to learn more about themselves and each other.
Topics will be geared towards group needs and will include social awareness & skills, building self-confidence, and helping girls transition into early adolescence. Receiving support and validation of others with similar struggles encourages group problem-solving and social skill building that is important to social-emotional well-being.
This one- hour group will run for 8- weeks and will be facilitated by Dr. Samantha Suarino.
Dr. Suarino currently works full time as a school psychologist and therefore possesses a unique understanding of the strengths and challenges of children. At Abrams Psychological Services, Dr. Suarino is available to provide individual and group counselling to children and adolescents to address a variety of issues including symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and post-traumatic stress.
