The Growing Power workshop is an intensive, hands-on, training workshop at the Milwaukee facility. This workshop offers diverse groups the opportunity to learn, plan, develop, operate, and sustain community food projects. Project participants leave the workshop with improved skills that they can take to their communities and pass on to others. This workshop is appropriate for both rural and urban projects. Participants can take two of the following breakout sessions during one weekend: Compost & Vermicompost, Hoop House Construction, Year-round Greenhouse Production, Mycoscaping and Renewable Energy. Participants are not required to sign up to breakout sessions prior to arrival.
PLEASE NOTE: The aquaponics workshop is now SEPARATE from our normal workshop schedule. If you'd like to participate in this workshop / intensive training course, please sign up for "Intensive AQUAPONICS Course" for $500.00 and NOT the "Two Day Weekend Workshop."Participants who sign up for this 3 day course will not have the opportunity to take other breakout sessions in the same weekend. Friday’s in April and May are special training days for Multicultural Alliance Building through Dismantling Racism. If you are interested in learning more, please check out the Growing Food and Justice for All Initiative. There is an additional fee for this training.
The cost for Friday’s Multicultural Alliance Building through Dismantling Racism workshop offered in April and May is an additional $125.00.
