Growing Native Tree Planting: White's Ford Regional Park
Sat, April 22, 2017, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS CLOSED.
Wow! When Potomac Riverans set out to make a difference, you do it in a big way! So many of you have signed up to get your hands dirty for clean water that this event is now full. Please check out our event page for more ways you can join this local movement for clean water.
Do your part to stop pollution and restore our hometown river by spending a spring morning planting trees! Bring your friends and family and join Team Potomac and NOVA Parks as we plant 200 trees at White's Ford Regional Park on Saturday, April 22nd!
We all know that trees and fresh air go hand-in-hand, but trees are also a river's best friend. Our healthy forested lands protect the water we drink and the river we love. Learn about the essential link between trees and healthy rivers while getting tips on how to plant your own trees at home and enjoying the great outdoors.
All ages are welcome, but small children will need some strong helping hands to lead the way.
What you need:
- Close-toed shoes
- A smile!
What we provide:
All tools, drinking water, and supplies will be provided by NOVA Parks and Potomac Conservancy.
How to get there:
Please arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 to check in. We will start the tree planting tutorial promptly at 9.
White's Ford Regional Park is located at 43646 Hibler Road, Leesburg, VA 20176. We know that White's Ford Regional Park can be a bit tricky to get to, so please take a moment to view the directions on Google Maps or your preferred map for assistance for the best route to take to the event location. NOVA Parks will provide signs to direct you where to go once you reach the park.
