Event description

Description

Join us as we learn all about growing in caterpillar tunnels from farm owners, Bob Payne and Camille Abdel-Nabi. Caterpillar tunnels are easy to build structures that provide great protection from rain, wind, hail and snow, allowing for individuals to grow for more months of the year.

Little River is a three acre certified organic vegetable farm located in Exeter. The farm was founded in 2013 by Bob Payne and Camille Abdel-Nabi and produces a variety of vegetables and herbs for a large CSA, farmer's markets and wholesale for local restaurants. Season extension practices such as high tunnels and caterpillar tunnels are utilized to maximize crop production.

Event is Free. Registration encouraged but not required. Last minute attendees welcome. Please dress for the weather and check this site for updates. Photographs may be taken at this event for NOFA RI and appear on our webpage. Sponsored by RI DEM via a USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant.
