Description

In Growing Gardeners this month, we celebrate pollinators and all their hard work! Join us for a
fun-filled pollination celebration as we learn about bees, butterflies, and other pollinators through
games, crafts, and snacks.

Growing Gardeners

Introduce your little green thumbs to the world of gardening! The Growing Gardeners program introduces children to the fun of gardening while learning about (and playing with!) plants, food, and ecosystems.

Here are some of the fun things we do in a Growing Gardeners class:
• Tend NOBG’s Children’s Garden (planting, weeding, watering, harvesting…)
• Play garden games
• Harvest produce to make and try new food dishes
• Explore the garden with scavenger hunts
• Learn through fun science activities
• Create garden art
• Make new friends!

Age requirement: Children ages 6-9 welcome
Class fee: $17 per class. $14 per class if you register for 6 classes at once! *When paying in advance classes do not need to be used consecutively. Advance classes need to be purchased at the garden.
Class time: Classes are offered two Saturdays most months from 10am-noon.
For more information and to register, call Dov (504) 483-9470 or e-mail nobgeducation@nocp.org.

In Growing Gardeners this month, we are learning all about seeds and seedlings. Join us as we

practice starting seeds for the New Orleans Botanical Gardens Childrens Garden, cook up some

delicious seed-themed snacks, and have fun experimenting and crafting with seeds!
