Description

Learn to grow fresh, healthy produce in your own backyard! This course will include advice for successful vegetable gardening in southwest Florida.

Seeds and starter plants will be provided for participants to take home during this class. Varieties will include vegetables appropriate for fall gardens. Specific quantities and varieties will be determined closer to the class date, based on crop availability. Examples include cabbage, lettuce and parsley.

Proceeds from ticket sales help provide seeds and other supplies for local school gardens, used to teach children about growing and consuming healthy produce!

Advance registration is required. For more information, call 941-861-5000 or email sarasota@ifas.ufl.edu
