Growing a Food Forest Workshop
Overview
來自檳城的 Project M.A.R.S.
The founder of Project M.A.R.S. from Penang has flown to Hong Kong for the second time to teach Hong Kong farmers/permaculturists/gardeners how to build a food forest. A food forest differs from a typical garden or farmland; it aims to select diverse, resilient crops and arrange a symbiotic plant system with different layers that can adapt to climate change and achieve self-sufficiency.
Workshop's Objectives
- Connecting farmers from Lantau Island and share seeds, seedlings, and resources
- To learn about suitable local plants for food forest design and implementation
- Connecting with people who are interested to collaboratively prepare and maintain an experimental food forest at Ning’s Yard
