Interested in increasing the quality, shelf-life and safety of your agricultural products? Join Lowcountry Local First and Clemson University Sustainable Agriculture for a hands-on workshop on proper harvest, washing, and packing techniques for a variety of fruit and vegetables (leafy greens, root vegetables, fruits).
- Matt Warren, Agricultural Operations Manager for WP Rawl, will be providing walk throughs, best practices, and demonstrations utilizing his years of experience as the Agricultural Food Safety Specialist for the company.
- Limehouse Produce will provide buyer feedback and discussions on quality.
- Weatherly Thomas with the SCDA will also be touching on work flow in the field as well as the packing house with discussion on compliance for small farms.
- Harry Chrissy with Clemson Extension will touch on GAP plans.
Lunch will be provided by Stono Market.
