Thank you for registering for the 8(a) Federal Contracting Workshop on Thursday, December 12th, 2019 at the Pearland Chamber of Commerce (9am-11am) To be admitted to the 8(a) program you must: •Be a small business, and you must control your business •Demonstrate potential for success (generally by being in business for 2 years) •Owner (51% or more) must be an ethnic minority, or physically handicapped, or must show bias of a chronic and substantial nature •Net worth of the owner (leaving out value of business, home and some retirement assets) cannot exceed $250,000 •Net assets cannot exceed $4M

Eligibility requirements:

Show potential for success: In business for at least two years and have the financial & technical capability to perform on contracts
Socially Disadvantaged (in a minority group or due to cultural bias)
Economically Disadvantaged (personal net worth below $250K & personal assets cannot exceed $4M)
