Grow in Monroe- CCN Breakfast Fundraiser
Thu, April 27, 2017, 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM EDT
We invite you to join us for a breakfast event to benefit our Family Support Scholarships in Monroe County.
Child Care Network has supported children and families in Monroe County for almost 30 years. Our mission is to promote the success of children, families and our community through quality child care education, advocacy and family support.
You can expect a delicious breakfast, a children’s art sale, delightful conversations, and coffee, there will be plenty of coffee!
We are also very excited to share that our guest speaker will be Ari Weinzweig of Zingerman’s and he will present on “Hope”, featuring information from his newest book, “The Power of Beliefs in Business“. The idea of Hope is hardly new—it comes up casually in our day-to-day lives all the time.
In his research for Part 4 of the Guide to Good Leading Series, A Lapsed Anarchist’s Approach to the Power of Beliefs in Business, Ari discovered that Hope is far more than something to just have casually in hand as we pass through our days. It is a critical contributor to the way our organizations operate.
Hope, studies are showing, correlates with better work performance, better health, better scholastic and athletic performance. Conversely, its absence can lead to despair and disengagement. Join us for this session where Ari makes a cogent case for mindfully building Hope in our organizations. Leave with practical ways to cultivate hope and concrete tips on how to thoughtfully avoid the negative impact its absence creates.
