45min - The group will be guided around the farm.
30min - Free time to explore, take pictures, or ask more questions! This will also be when those who have purchased the add-on "Pick Your Own Flowers" option will receive a vessel to keep and clippers to borrow and be able to pick their "Grower's Bunch(es)" of flowers from select beds.
We look forward to having you visit the farm!
Our New Mexico weather can be fickle, rescheduling is available in circumstances of inclement weather.
A few notes about this event and your visit to our farm:
- We are a FARM! We know, that sounds obvious, yet we want your visit to be as wonderful as possible! You will be walking on uneven surfaces, there may be muddy sections, too (even in the desert) and some stickers - so please wear comfortable sturdy footwear.
- Keep in mind that we are a working farm and a healthy farm means an abundance of insect life. We'll provide bug spray but we invite you to bring your own if there are particular scents or ingredients you prefer.
- Please read your EMAIL confirmation! That is the ONLY place our address will be published!
Please read the Calhoun Flower Farms Group Tour Contract below.
Disclosure: if fewer than 10 adults sign up by Friday at 12 pm, the tour will be canceled. 25 persons maximum.
Special thanks: Our flowers are cultivated by our hard-working farm team and have bright futures ahead of them in your local Whole Foods grocery store, florist, and on your's or your neighbor's dining table. Please be respectful by staying between the rows of flowers and taking care not to step on any flowers.
Thank you!

About the organizer
We are sisters Susannah and Lillian Calhoun, and along with our mother Diane Bigbee Calhoun, we grow cut flowers in southern Dona Ana County.
Thanks to our extended growing season and diverse plantings, we grow a variety of incredibly beautiful, seasonal flowers and folliage that can be found in stunning designs at many weddings and events, in local markets, in many businesses and home tabletops.
Our “roots” are in New Mexico agriculture – the Bigbees homesteaded in Torrance county in 1907, and the Calhouns have been farming in the Mesilla Valley since the 1920’s. We strive to carry on the agricultural traditions of our families and give consumers a locally grown option for floral décor.
