The food and wine pairing dinners at Belhurst Castle and Winery are a truly special event. Guests will be guided through a tasting of four Belhurst Estate Winery wines that have been paired with four chef-created tasting dishes.
This is a small group event with exclusive and limited seating where you will be dining with other food and wine lovers. Guests will be seated in a private dining room in the historic Belhurst Castle erected in 1885. Enjoy incredible views of Seneca Lake and be surrounded by original wood trim and a fireplace.
Your host will educate you on the history of wines from the Finger Lakes area including specific tasting notes for each dish you taste. Our chef will meet you tableside to explain the local foods used in the dish as well as our farm-to-table philosophy and the importance of our relationships with local farmers.
The tasting menu for this event is as follows:
- I - Carpaccio
Thin sliced beef tenderloin layered with Manchego cheese, Seneca salt and fresh cracked pepper. Served with a red wine vinaigrette-dressed micro salad. Paired with Belhurst Estate Winery Cabernet Franc.
- II - Mushrooms & Ricotta
Roasted baby bella mushrooms filled with smoked Roma tomato and ricotta blend. Served over a puree of garlic poached carrots. Paired with Belhurst Estate Winery Pinot Noir.

Lavender and honey-glazed duck breast over a roasted lattice of sweet and savory potatoes. Paired with Belhurst Estate Winery Dry Rosé.

Red wine and rosemary poached pear with vanilla-mascarpone crème. Paired with Belhurst Estate Winery Ice Princess.
