Transition Readiness Program (TRP)

The group Individual Counseling (IC) appointments will require the Service Member to attend in-person and cannot be conducted virtually. All Service Members who register and attend the group IC appointment will meet the IC and Pre-Separation Counseling requirements. All Service Members will be contacted by a transition staff member prior to the scheduled appointment with further instructions.

Effective 1 October 2019, per DoDI 1332.32 and MARADMIN 632/19, all Service Members must complete an Individualized Initial Counseling (IC) with a Transition Readiness Staff no later than 12-18 months out from separation or 12-24 months from retirement. During the IC it will be identified which pathway the Service Members will be required to complete their transition process.

All Service Members MUST complete an IC prior to attending the Transition Readiness Seminar & Pre-Retirement Seminar.

**Command leadership will be notified of any Service Member who does not show or cancel for their scheduled appointment.
