George Brant’s Grounded explores the career of an ace fighter pilot cut short due to an unexpected pregnancy. Reassigned to piloting drones from a windowless trailer on a military base in Las Vegas, the pressure of tracking a high profile target a world away challenges the delicate balance between the desert in which she lives and the one she patrols. This one-woman show is a heartbreakingly beautiful drama that challenges audiences’ conceptions of gender and war.

Directed by Glynnis O’Donoghue and featuring Caroline Renfro, the regional premiere of Grounded also marks the first full-length presentation by FroShow Productions to the Fort Myers theatre community.
