Roland Clark

Roland Clark is known as House Music's Songsmith, Producer, Deejay, and Vocalist, all in one. He was born in New Jersey however hails in New York City for his musical upbringing. Some of Roland Clark’s early recordings helped to define the underground house scene in NYC in the 90s. Under the alias South Street Player he had a big hit in 1993 with "Who Keeps Changing Your Mind" released on Strictly Rhythm. His latest alter ego Jesus Jackson pegged the 3rd season opening of the show Grey's Anatomy with his song "Running On Sunshine." Roland's voice is often described as wildly erotic, soulful, loving, and deep Roland Clark can be heard on the latest Katy Perry hit Swish Swish out on Universal Music. His voice penetrates throughout the different realms and sub genres of House Music and his vocal touch is consistent; he is considered by many to the "Voice of House." His lyrics are powerful and political, and his voice is instantly recognized by everyone in the electronic dance music culture. Roland has written and sang vocals for many top producers, and his voice gives the tracks their soul and meaning. He is a featured vocalist on many Fatboy Slim releases, including the hit "Star 69 (What The F**k)" and Armand Van Helden's gorgeous "Flowerz." As Roland (under the alias Urban Soul) says himself on King Street Sounds' 2003 hit "President House"... "If House is a nation, I Wanna be President."

LA Riots

A lot has happened since LA RIOTS introduced a bawdy blend of Indie Rock, Alt Dance & Electro music to the world in 2007. Formed by Daniel Linton on the 15th anniversary of the 1992 Los Angeles RIOTS, the project was named as a reflection of his aggressive and rebellious sound. An attitude not commonly found in Electronic Dance Music at the time, it differentiated him from the worldwide DJ pack. However it was taken; his approach achieved multiple successes early on, including becoming North American tour support for MSTRKRFT and the Bloody Beetroots as well as signing to A-Trak’s label, Fools Gold. That same year he landed on the lineup of Australia’s Global Gathering Festival alongside Kraftwerk, Mark Ronson, and Sasha, exposing him to a global audience.

LA RIOTS production is varied, but his quality control and precision in the studio creates a sound that translates the party straight to the dance floors, including remixes of acts like Weezer, Kylie Minogue, Justice, Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds To Mars, MSTRKRFT, Tiesto, Katy Perry, AFI, and Tricky, to name just a few.

It is those same high-profile productions that have prompted him to land even higher-profile gigs. He’s toured with The Crystal Method, Pendulum and a second outing with MSTRKRFT, several tours across Europe, Asia, and Australia as well as appearances at Chicago’s Lollapalooza, ULTRA Music Festival in Miami (3x), Electric Zoo, I<3Techno in Europe, Belgium’s Pukkelpop Festival, Sasquatch, Paradiso, and Coachella. Additionally, Beatport named him as part of their “Break Out Stars” at the 2010 Winter Music Conference and was invited to go on the first-ever electronic music only tour across America, 2011’s Identity Festival with Avicii, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Steve Lawler, Modeselektor, Nervo, Booka Shade, Rusko and more.

Over the few years, his sound has taken on a much more underground direction releasing a steady series of originals on respected house labels like ‘Toolroom’, ‘Realm Recordings’, ‘Roush Recordings’, ‘Spinnin’, ‘Confession’ and ‘Armada Deep’. Upcoming releases are scheduled for Harry Romero’s ‘Bambossa’ label as well as Yousef’s highly esteemed ‘Circus Recordings’. He’s also earned top listings on Spotify’s Housewerks and Mint playlists along with several others, resulting in millions of plays for songs like “House Philosophy” (1.83M), “Real Love” (2.14M), “Changes (LA Riots Remix)” (4.4M), “Feel Alive (LA Riots Remix)” (1.58M), and “House Is A Feeling” (1.44M).
