About this event
Register here for the Keynote Panel Discussion: "Should Sustainability Management Be a Field?", as part of the GRONEN Research Conference 2022, hosted by the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam.
This plenary session aims to discuss the following question: Should sustainability be a distinct field in management? The speakers will provide different perspectives, such as those of early career, editors, deans, and senior scholars in the field. We propose to engage the audience through surveys during the event and a Q&A section with the speakers. The goal is to open a discussion about shifting the focus of business schools toward creating a distinct field of sustainability management, discuss the aspirational roles of sustainability within business, and collectively, define strategies to strengthen our ability to incorporate sustainability into theory and practice.
Keynote panelists:
- An early career scholars’ perspective: Lucrezia Nava, Postdoctoral Fellow, Judge Cambridge Business School
- Senior sustainability scholar’s perspective: Minna Halme, Professor of Sustainability Management at Aalto University School of Business
