The COVID-19 pandemic has made it essential for businesses around the world to take urgent action in order to survive. The grocery industry, in particular, have been pushed to unprecedented levels of innovation, execution, and teamwork. Presented by the World Retail Forum the Grocery Innovation Leadership Awards celebrate those companies that best exemplify the spirit of “learning together to recover stronger” in the age of COVID-19. The winners have been chosen based on an analysis guided by the seven habits of highly successful retailers that make up the Consumer Engagement Index developed by Retail Store Tours. These are the human touch, the use of technology, store design, brand story, employee training, the ability to change quickly, safety and unique value proposition.
