Description

Take part in our first annual GRIT Games! The Ultimate test of Fitness, Stamina, Teamwork, and Determination! Compete as an individual or in teams of four. Teams can be any combination of male, female or co-ed if desired.

REGISTER BY NOV. 30TH TO GET EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT $10 for individuals (going up to $15 on Dec. 1st) and $40 for teams (going up to $60 o Dec. 1st).

Even if you've never participated in a GRIT class, these games are for you!

All profits will go to North Liberty Community Pantry and Coralville Food Pantry.

Each individual or team will be competing for time.

Woman
-up to 110lbs-25lb on bar
-111lbs or more-30lbs on bar
-10lb plate

Man
-up to 175lbs-55lbs on bar
-176lbs or more-60lbs on bar
-Two 10lb plates


GRIT TEAM GAMES (Teams of 4; If competing as an individual, scroll down to see GRIT INDIVIDUAL GAMES)

Phase 1
All TEAM Members - 2 Minute Burpee Beep Test Challenge

Phase 2
TEAM RELAY
One team member at a time executes 10 reps of an exercise. When finished person 2, then 3, then 4 goes. Working through 1 exercise at a time. Must complete in order. Once all team members have completed Phase 2, immediately starts Phase 3.

Phase 3
THE TEAM SET
As a team you must complete 20 reps of each exercise in order. You can choose which team member completes each exercise of 20 reps. Team members can be swapped mid-exercise but must do one full rep together before taking over. Any combination of team members can be used and each person must participate at least once.

Phase 1
2 Minute Burpee Beep Test Challenge

Phase 2
Execute 15 reps of each exercise. Must complete in order.

Phase 3
Repeat Phase 2

Games will run every 40 minutes with the first wave of 10 teams and/or individuals starting at 8am. You will be notified by Friday, December 2nd of your start time! Check-in time is no later than 20 minutes before your challenge start time.

Boost your Strength, Plyo, and Cardio Fitness so you are at your best on GAME day! Join us Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:05am, Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:45am, or Thursdays at 5:30pm at Performance Health & Fitness. Cost is $30 per month and can be added it to your membership at Performance front desk.
