I don't have Long COVID but my partner does. Can I sign up for this

This group is designed to be useful for those suffering from Long COVID, as well as partners / caretakers. If your partner signed up, you can just participate with them. If your partner did not sign up, you are welcome to sign up and join on your own.

Question 2

I am not sure if I have Long COVID, but I suspect that is the case. Is this right for me?

If your doctors are suspecting Long COVID, go ahead and join. If your illness does not seem related to any kind of post-COVID conditions like dysautonomia, neuropathy, or autoimmune symptoms, then you may have a difficult time relating with the group and should not join.

Do I need to be a patient of yours or have a mental heal diagnosis to join?

Nope! This is a non-clinical group. That means that you do not need to be my patient, or have a mental health evaluation and diagnosis to attend. It is free, so we won't be charging or billing insurance.

I know life fills our plates and we try to squeeze a lot in. Since this is more of a process group and NOT a seminar or talk where I present and others listen, please  join ONLY  if you can be on camera, actively listening, and contributing to a safe and supportive environment for all involved.

Will this be in-person, or online?

Accepted Answer

While many of us would like to connect in-person, the group is "online only"  at this time. This is to acknowledge that many suffering with Long COVID have some compromised immunity and not feel safe in an in-person group setting. It is possible in the future, if there is a large in-person demand.
