Grief During Terminal Illness

The challenges that families must face when confronted with a terminal diagnosis of a loved one are complex. Assisting the family as they navigate a new landscape of reality requires a deep level of empathy and understanding. After attending this workshop you will feel better able to support a grieving family during this difficult circumstance.
- Learning Objectives:
Learn common feelings and reactions loved ones experience at diagnosis and beyond
- Understand the experience of siblings of a terminally ill patient
- Become familiar with tools that promote talking about the death and honoring the loved one
- Learn three therapeutic activities for grieving children
