The US-China Green Energy Council (UCGEC, http://ucgef.org) is pleased to announce the 2016 Seminar #1 “Grid Modernization for the Increased Penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) – challenges and opportunities” to be held at 5:45 pm to 9 pm, March 17th, 2016 in Palo Alto. This event is also co-hosted by Silicon Valley Chinese Energy Association (SCEA) and North America Power Professional Association (NACPPA). It is $10 for registered attendees but will be charged $20 after 12 noon of March 16th, and at the door.
The US Department of Energy's Quadrennial Energy Review indicates the government's intentions for a 10-year, $3.5 billion spending plan to "provide the tools necessary for the evolution of the grid of the future." We are excited to present several distinguished speakers, to share insights of grid modernization with increased penetration of DERs - experience from both US and China, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
