Many new families in our society lack the continuity of care they need following the birth of their baby. The postpartum doula helps meet this need by educating, nurturing, and empowering mothers and families towards confidence in their new roles.
Postpartum doulas perform NON-MEDICAL educational, informational and physical support to postpartum families.
Join CAPPA's Executive Director of Postpartum Doulas, Laura Nance for this CAPPA Approved Postpartum Doula Training and help make a difference in the lives of new families.
FEES*: $450.00 for workshop: $50 late registration fee for all registrations after February 3, 2017.
This 2 day training is the first step towards certification. There are several other requirements, that will be discussed in class (you can also go to www.cappa.net for a full list of certification requirements). This unique opportunity will give you the education and skills necessary to support families through the transition to parenthood. Just some of the things you will learn include:

8:30-6:30 Friday and Saturday.
Refunds only in the event of cancellation by trainer. No other refunds, only transfer to another training by Laura Nance within one year. $50.00 transfer fee applies.
Non-refundable travel arrangements should not be not be made until after February 17, 2017 when the training date has been confirmed.
In the event of inclement weather or other travel issues making it impossible for Laura Nance to hold the training, a make-up date will be scheduled. Laura Nance is not responsible for any travel expenses incurred.
