Description

Greening the Revolution is an independent documentary about food justice filmed in Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Kenya, Zambia, India, Brazil and across the United States. This 80-minute feature film focuses on the unjust politics and economics behind a corrupt food system, while also showing examples of inspiring resistance and the creation of sustainable alternatives by small farmers. Winner of Best Female Filmmaker at Oaxaca International Film Festival, Best Documentary at Fort Lauderdale IFF and Environmental Series Premiere at the Newport Beach IFF. These special screenings are fundraisers for Anartist Films and its new feature, currently in production, and are supported by the UNM Food Justice Initiative facebook.com/Food-Justice-Initiative-UNM-381370475353910 and Food and Water Watch foodandwaterwatch.org. Both screenings will be followed by a Q&A with the director. For more information on the film, contact: info@greeningtherevolution.org.

Advance tickets are available for purchase online at Eventbrite. Tickets will be available the day of the screening at the event location, the Guild Cinema on Central Avenue in Albuquerque.
