Description

What: Let’s kick off National Farm to School Month with an exciting, interactive forum on healthy, climate-friendly food service: a cost-effective approach focused on plant-forward menus, reduced food waste, and innovative educational and promotional activities.

Who: K-12 school food service directors, nutrition services staff, educators, school leaders, sustainability coordinators, policy makers, parents and non-profits working on healthy and sustainable food, food waste reduction and nutrition education.

Why: Bringing plant-based proteins toward the center of the plate enables more purchases of locally grown fresh ingredients, builds healthy minds and eating habits, and reduces the carbon and water footprint of our food.

Let’s get inspired by sharing best practices, hearing from innovative regional leaders and national experts, and learning how to overcome common obstacles.
