2019 Greenerbuilder Austin

Women in Green Breakfast | Plenaries, Panels, and LEED Project Showcases | USGBC Texas Leadership Awards

Join USGBC and USGBC Texas for the first annual Greenerbuilder Austin on June 27th! Greenerbuilder Austin will unite individuals from around the South Central region, including architects, engineers, contractors, and designers, who are working hard in their local communities to raise the quality of life for all every day. Designed for green building professionals and advocates, the conference will focus on addressing key topics and issues facing local and regional communities, while providing education, inspiration, and celebration.

Leadership in the private and public sectors will be highlighted, while building professionals across the South Central region will discuss the future of LEED. A post-conference LEED v4.1 technical workshop will be offered on June 28th for additional education.

Attendees can earn a total of 3.5 GBCI LEED-specific and 3.0 general continuing education hours for attendance at Greenerbuilder Austin on June 27th and 3.0 LEED-specific hours for the post-conference LEED v4.1 workshop on June 28th.

June 28th Post-Conference Workshop: The Next Evolution of LEED - v4.1

Following Greenerbuilder Austin, take a deeper look at LEED v4.1 with this interactive workshop on LEED v4.1 BD+C and ID+C!

In a world that is constantly evolving, one of the hallmarks of LEED is “continuous improvement.” With each new version, LEED raises the bar on the green building industry. The latest version of LEED, LEED v4.1 is the next generation standard for green building design, construction, operations and performance.

During this half-day workshop, Kenneth Simpson, Director of Certification, Energy/HVAC at Green Business Certification, Inc., will walk participants through LEED v4.1 BD+C and ID+C credits including a restructured Materials and Resources section, the addition of a greenhouse gas emissions metric and updated thresholds. The workshop will also touch on the full life cycle of the building, by reviewing LEED Operations and Maintenance and recertification options available to projects and how BD+C and ID+C credits are structured to support ongoing performance. Earn 3 LEED-specific hours for the BD+C, ID+C, and O+M specialties!
