Event description
Green Stories Prize Giving event: refreshments, readings and a chance to network among fellow writers and industry professionals.

About this Event

All are welcome at our free Green Stories Prize Giving event to celebrate the winners of the 2019 competitions: The Stage Play competition, the Radio Play competition, Novel competition and TV/Netflix series competitions.

There will be wine and snacks and a chance to network among fellow writers, agents, producers and industry professionals.

We have readings from the winning entries and preview of the competitions coming up in 2020.

Graham Smith (former commissioner for C4 and C5, executive producer BBC and director of Grand Scheme Media) will give tips for success for aspiring writers and about how to package content for TV and Netflix and the kinds of new content being sought, such as the new QuiBi platform to make short form content for smartphones.

Doors open for 6.30 for networking with the presentations starting at 7.10. Talks, readings and presentations should be finished around 9ish and room will remain open till 9.45 for mingling.
