Rob West is a passionate environmentalist and third generation plumber who owns and operates Rob West Plumbing, Inc. He tirelessly combines his knowledge of plumbing and his love for environmentalism in every aspect of his work. In this workshop, he will discuss water conservation and the how to's of installing a dual-flush toilet system, changing to a low-flow shower head, and building a rain barrel from recycled materials, as well as other eco-friendly plumbing related topics.

At Rob West Plumbing, we look at potential problems in your plumbing system, in addition to treating the immediate and obvious symptoms. When we work on a plumbing problem, we look carefully at all parts of the system. Plumbing systems are complex, with many distinct parts that often get installed, repaired, or replaced at different times. We always address unsafe or problem areas in a customer’s system. We try to alert owners to potential problems to help them better budget their time and money, as well as prevent costly emergencies or "do-overs" resulting from recurring plumbing problems.
When & Where
Our mission is to create a market for reclaimed building materials. We do this by diverting materials from landfills and making them accessible for reuse through our retail warehouse, by promoting sustainable deconstruction practices, by providing education and job training programs, and by creating innovative models for sustainable reuse.
